Can hereditary increase the chances of getting cervical cancer?

I have a friend who is having complications and her grandmother had and died from cervial cancer. Could there be a connection?

There could be a connection as cancer sadly is a hereditary disease

And while I certainly would never wish for anyone to get answer and or die/ in arbygirls71 case I could be willing to make an exception

And yes, Arby wench, REPORTED again hee hee..this is fun. She's making this too easy
yes but with regular paps you can nip it in the butt
Absolutely.

Regards,
Ryan
yes.
Yup. Genetics is definitely related to cancer risk. The current theory on why people get cancer is two-fold. The first half is genetic predisposition and the second is environmental factors. So, in short, yes.
It could be something that she inherited, however Cervical cancer is normally caused by HPV (human papaloma virus) it could be something compleelty unrelated but just to be certain she should have a Pap smear and see a gyno regularly.
