Help! pleassssssssssssssssssse? does anyone know about "hpv" and "cervical cancer"? this is serious . |
it's a life or death situation!!!!!! thank-you. I have HPV and I have had cervical cancer. They say that HPV can cause cervical cancer (but so do other things - like extended use of birth control pills). HPV is NOT curable. It is a virus and will stay with you the rest of your life. People usually go through life not realizing that they have it because there really are no symptoms. 75% - 80% of the WORLD has HPV. That's why it is spread so easily from person to person. As for cervical cancer...I've be treated for mine, and so far it hasn't come back. Make sure you are getting your annual pap smears done, and if yours comes back abnormal you should be going every 4 months, or more (if your doctor wants). Cervical cancer can be treated, but you need to catch it before it gets really bad. Good luck! Source(s): Personal experience. http://www.plannedparenthood.org/pp2/por... go to this site... if you're concerned that you may have HPV, I would contact your GP or your ob-gyn for an examination. Try www.cancerhelp.org.uk. They're really helpful. If you've not had a cervical smear test, then go and have one. If these are things the medics have said to you following a smear test, then you should really go back to them and have a proper chat. Often these terms sound more serious than they really are, but let the doctor put your mind at rest and tell you what the next steps are... Hope all goes well... It is not life or death, just go (or tell whoever it is) to get a pap smear. Your doctor can help you. HPV can cause cancer, definitly, but there are like 100 different HPv types. The most dangerus are the 18 and 23 (i think, i dont remember exactly) this kind of HPV can cause the cancer, not other ones. For the HPv can cause the cancer it take a lot time, but dont let pass the time if u think u can have it, cancer is easy to cure if u detect it on time, better go and check to your doctor if u think u can have HPV You may find some good answers and additional resources at the link below. |
