Does anyone know of anyone who has had cervical cancer?

Abnormal paps?

Yes. If you suspect you have cervical cancer I strongly urge you to see your ob/gyn. This is not a game nor is it something to put off. It could mean the difference of a hysterectomy vs. cryo-surgery, vs. it spreading to something worse - Uterous cancer.Yes, my mom had it years ago. She was fine after surgery and treatment.
My Aunty had it then it dropped down into her bowel... She passed away from it. Very sad! Abnormal paps. Yes.
Thousands of American women die every year from cervical cancer. Pap smears if done regularily will amost always detect the beginning stages early enough to eradicate the cancer with freezing, conectomy (sp) or other treatments. Cervical cancer starts without pain and can go undetected into advanced stages. It is extremely important for women to have their annual visits to the Gyn.Cervical cancer is almost always a slow growing cancer and takes many years to develop giving women a chance to intercept the disease if they would just see their Doctor regularly.
Yes I have.
