For women: have you had /do you have cervical cancer? i was just diagnoised.?

I was diagnosed two years ago. I opted for a total hysterectomy, and wish i hadn't. Do your research, get a second and even third opinion...find out if chemotherapy and/or radiation is right for you. Read everything you can get your hands on...then make your decision. and if you must have a hysterectomy, ask your doctor if it is possible to leave your ovaries. You're life will be so much more pleasant..Good luck, and God Bless...
I have had cervical cancer in the past when I was 26 and had to have a hysterectomy.........they removed the part of the cervix that was effected and I have had no problem untill now.....and it is only a ovarian cyst
My own personal experience
I was diagnosed with cervical cancer when I was 32. I had a hysterectomy and have been totally fine ever since. (10 yrs ago now) :)
nice thing about a hysterectomy too is NO PERIODS!!!!! Yipeeee
I still have my ovaries, so I don't have to take hormone replacement therapy. Ask your doctor to leave your ovaries if they are fine.
