Chiropractic-- some methods, tehniques or requirement for the alternative medicine?

Also, what conditions or diseases are commonly treated by these techniques??

It is an alternative medicine.. and what i'm more interested in is what they actually do. The techniques. Any experts? ...X

Chiropractic "medicine" treats nothing but it does have a strong placebo effect. Do not trust it for anything but back pain. Claims that it can cure things such as allergies and cancer are complete BS.

I wouldn't consider chiropractic to be "alternative". For me, its first line of treatment, along with GP or dentist, etc.

Chiro's treat bone mal-alignments. They use different techniques to readjust your spine and/or limbs. You feel like a million bucks afterwards.

its preventaive for alot of things can
break a fever and the chiropractor saved my husband as a child from needing an operation on his testicles after he lifted a heavy tree and swelled up like a watermelon down there..after one crack it was better. And operation was called off. I used it during pregnancy and my ovarian cyst disappeared of course you still need a natural diet for natural alternatives to work

multifaceted question
methods...some use hands and physical therapy machines
...some use mechanical devices
techniques...numerous
requirement for alternative medicine..not certain what your question is here.

chiropractic is the largest drug free healing group, about 60,000 licensed in US.

most treat neck pain, back pain and headache. could treat a wider spectrum but these problems are enough to keep the group busy.

my chiropractor is always the first to be consulted on anything that requires a health care professional. he is quick to refer if he considers it a situation for MD or other.

there are techniques that deal with emotional problems only
techniques which deal with joints of the arms, legs, hands feet, muscle, swelling

Well chiropractic is to try to get your spine in the best position to allow your nerves system to work at it's best. It's more then for back pain it's for over all health.

Chiropractors work with the nervous system. They believe that many diseases are the result of a poor functioning nervous system.

I refer my patients to only one type of chiropractor, those who are specialized in Gonstead method. They are the top of their profession. I've been to other chiropractors, no other can deliver results like they can.

Let's see... what conditions/diseases they commonly treat? Obviously pain, neck/low back pain, herniated discs, carpal tunnel syndrome, any other musculoskeletal conditions. Those are the most common. They also treat asthma, allergies, heart conditions, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases (lupus, multiple sclerosis, and so on), infertility, and anything else that's related to the nervous system.

I have my heart managed by my Gonstead chiropractor. Been off my heart meds for more than 10 years. No arrhythmias at all, and no high blood pressure. Just need an adjustment twice a year for my heart and I'm all good. And as always, each year, my cardiologist gives me a clean bill of health.

If you would like to learn more about chiropractic I recommend you read this book.

This is an easy to read book and only 150 pages, but you will learn a lot about this subject.

Peace!
