As long as you go to a good Chiropractor, Chiropractic treatment is very beneficial and there are millions of people world-wide that no longer need surgery because of it, not to mention reducing and/or eliminating their joint/back pain.
Any good Chiropractor will be very good for your granma... they are trained and practiced to work on each individual person as an individual person. For any clients that have an illness or are more sensitive/fragile, they will take that into consideration, so you don't have to worry about that.
The cost depends on what they are charging in your area and if you have insurance.... but it's a LOT cheaper than pain medications or surgery. My Chiropractor charges about $20 after insurance, but I'd suggest calling around in your area to see what it would cost there. Good luck!
