Does Chiropractic adjustment help with this rotary cuff (shoulder) inflammation? |
Chiropractor said this condition was irritated by my neck which is often out of alignment. OK. I sought out help from the chiropractor for a problem with my shoulder, that didn't seem to help, except for the chiropractor's bank account...then I went to a specialist and he began giving me shots in the shoulder. That helped for about a month or so, then it was back to him for additional shots and more money in his bank account. I decided I would put up with the pain and keep my money. See your GP, then, if deemed necessary, an physical therapist and/or orthopedist. (sp?) http://www.quackwatch.org/ It depends on the problem with your "rotator cuff". If it is torn in any way, no there is nothing a chiropractor can do, but if it is a muscle imbalance or a neurologic component than yes, a chiropractor can help. I am a chiropractor and have helped many people with many different problems from headaches/migraines to ADD/ADHD to the traditional neck and back pain. It is a matter of finding the right doctor that will treat your problem. I am with a group of chiropractors that do just that, fix the problem. Go to www.sorsi.com to find one of these doctors in your area, or if you are in Minnesota you can email me or go to my website at www.healinghandschiro.com. I'm a chiropractor & I just had shoulder surgery myself. If your chiropractor isn't actually treating your shoulder (adjusting it, putting physical therapy like E-stim or ultrasound on it) then find a new chiropractor or go to physical therapy. *sure nerves in your neck or upper back go to the shoulder, but if there is an issue with the shoulder itself, you need to address it with therapy, exercise etc. Have you had an MRI? do you know if there is a tear in the rotator cuff or just inflammation? Perhaps a trip to a good local orthopedist is required if you haven't done that yet as well. good luck How can re-alignment heal your body? It does help with the alignment issue but to actually heal you need a regimen of high quality supplements (the bodies building blocks that you don't provide it through dietary choice) and a low glycemic diet. The inflammation is caused by oxidative stress. This will help if you chose to contact me www.restartyourlife.usana.com |
