Why would you get acupuncture vs chiropractic care, and vice versa? Accupuntcure opens up the flow of "chi" or energy in the body, you have many small minute and large points of energy flow that become blocked int he body, therei s also accupressure for those of you who do not care for needles Chiropratic care consists of re aligning bones in the body and the supporting soft tissue around them. Hope this helps! Source(s): I am a massage therapist. I know these things! my chiropactor does both and i like both I've gone to the "cracker" to get soft tissue work done and an adjustment. And I've gotten acupuncture there too. Personally I see someone who is both a chiropractor and an acupuncturist so I get the best of both worlds. They actually have a lot of similarities because they both deal with the nervous system and the energy systems of the body. I would choose acupuncture in most cases because of it's overall balancing effect on the body and it's relaxing effect. (I believe acupunture treatments are generally less expensive as well!) I would choose chiropractic in a case of some kind of joint pain, headaches, or something where I know a physical/structural adjustment would benefit me. They can both be good for a lot of complaints. a person who is afraid of needles sould choose chiropractic |
