IM 18 with hunchback and i want 2 no if chiropractic work will help. And if a brace is possibly good help.?

I just wan t 2 no wat to ask my doctor for. The first time he seen it he payed no mind and just told me to see a chiropractor. I looked on the web and seen it can get worse how do i prevent that. is there a better way.

I am not aware of what treatment a chiropractor could do that would help it. Hunchback is caused by irregular curve in the thoracic spine. there r 2 kinds: postural and organic/ Organic can be from birth (congenital), or as a result of disease process, such as Scheuermann's disease. a condition that starts in adolescence. I do know back brace is often ordered to help correct it. Possibly some form of physical therapy could also help improve it. to strengthen muscles that are being stretched by the unbalanced body posture. Medications r used to treat pain, depending on severity.
If yours appeared over last few years, get it diagnosed to see what kind u have. Untreated it can become progressively painful and affect breathing in some patients.

See a chiropractor, yes. Your doctor should also be sending you to a Specialist. Tell him/her to do so. As well as a Physiotherapist.

Yes! My niece had that in high school and she went to a chiropractor and got a brace from her Dr. to wear at night and now she is 28 and is completely fine.

Good luck!

:D

there may be better way but first give drs orders a try have chiropractor do an evaluation he can tell you soon if he can help you or not
