What does Chiropractic Care mean to you?

Heres what it is to me.

Chiropractic care is the prevention of disease before it happens.

MD's (Medicating Diseases not Medical Doctor) they treat the disease when you already have it.

So think of it this way, would you rather put a stop to it before it starts by taking a few visits a year to improve your bodys health or would you rather get the problem, suffer, then use meds to cover it up.

Now I know that Chiropractic care cant cure cancer, but your muscles, arms, legs, knees, and feet. It is proven that regular visits to the chiropractor is less likely to get sick.

Also it is written in medical jounals that 30% of people have reactions and death to prescriptions when taken correctly. Now this is only my opinion I want to know what you think of the Chiropractic feild.

Keep in mind that Chiropractic care is a process, its people that think that one visit is supposed to cure that makes you ignorant.

It takes time to mess your back up so its going to take time to repair the damage.

What does Chiroquacky Care mean to me ?

1) Chiropractic theory鈥?quot;subluxations" in the spine causing disease鈥攊s untrue, and embarrassing to the "profession" and chiropractors should have abandoned it a long time ago.

2) Chiropractic School in the past have had very low standards鈥攁 high school diploma was required鈥攁nd taught their students with comic books. This is changing slowly, but it has left the "profession" with leaders who are anti-intellectual and anti-scientific, and have been on the wrong side of many public health debates.

3) Despite chiropractic's laughably crackpot ideas, some of their manipulation techniques do appear to relieve back pain. It would be good if they stopped at that and just called themselves back-centered physical therapists. Unfortunately, most chiropractors don't stop there. They diagnose and treat ailments they have no business touching. They give nutrition, vitamin, and supplement advice which often veers into homeo/naturoquackery. Their introduction of "mixer" techniques such as spinal magnets and "Applied Kinesiology" is not only quacky鈥攊t's also non-chiropractic.

4) Chiropractic's selling techniques are deeply unethical. Many reform-minded chiropractors will admit this. The whole business of "preventative" chiropractic treatments and long serial treatment is bunk, as is chiropractic "pre"-treatment of healthy children (or not so healthy children who should be seeing a physician鈥攏ot a chiropractic quack).

the word.. quackery comes to mind

Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, chiropractors are quacks.

My honest opinion. Do not touch me is what I would say to a Chiropractic practitioner. In fact one came into a mandatory meeting where I worked. We had to listen to his advertisement. I do not want someone doing anything to my spine that very well could lead to paralysis. I even put down the wrong phone number so he wouldn't call my home.

er.. a chiropractor is a bone manipulator... and they arent recognised by the NHS as "real " doctors... its quack medicine... when everythign else fails...

my brother went to a chiropractor... yes, he manipulated his spine, and karl got some relief..but a week or two later, he was in agony again... and all the time johnny chiro was charging him as a private patient...

2yrs later karl gets an MRI scan... he get rushed into emergency surgery as he had 3 crushed vertebrae in his neck... and not once did donald duck seek out the symptoms... he just blundered in... hoping...

cowboys and quacks...

kalos the ama rep is at it again with misinformation

chiropractic colleges are accredited by the same government agency that does the same for medical schools

for the past 30 years, entrance requirements included 2 years undergrad pre-med, same as med school

peer review in chiropractic actually costs offenders their license, not just a slap on the wrist and move to another state

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mn has chiropractors in the physical med department..so do many VA hospitals

but to answer your question...do you get a headache because your body is not making enough aspirin or is it because spinal nerves may not be doing their job?

Chiropractic care proves that P.T.Barnum was correct..."there's a sucker born every minute" .
