A doctor that practices chiropractic is called what?

Is it still chiropractic or chiroprator?

Officially, it's Doctor of Chiropractic. Unofficially, it's "quack."

This piece by HL Mencken remains the definitive definition - http://www.chirobase.org/12Hx/mencken.ht...

Chiroprator

Chiropractor

around these parts it is called a chiropractor

Yep, chiropractor! X)

He would be called a Chiropractor. Also could be known as a doctor of chiropractic medicine.

uh, a chiropractor

chiropractor

a chiropractor or DC doctor of chiropractic

Just a reminder a chiropractor does not have a MD, or even a DO. But it would be chiropractor.

The doctor is called a chiropractor. His art is chiropractic.

chiropractor

Chiropractic is an all-around term that means the field of study or method of treatment by a Chiropractor. "Chiropracty" is an outdated term still used occasionally, usually by older Medical practitioners.

An Osteopath.

A doctor of Osteopathy is a physician, licensed to perform surgery and prescribe medication. They receive additional training in hands on manual medicine and the body's musculoskeletal system and often perform spinal manipulation.

uh, a veterinarian.

Chiropractor

A DC or Chiropractor.
And to those who call all Chiropractors quacks... get a life and start to feel good about yourselves. We don't go to the fast food outlet where you work and bother you do we?
Next thing you know you'll be calling Preachers Heretics.
Stop the hate.

Chiropractor, although I've noticed that a lot of people have more trouble after seeing one.

Chiropractor is a health care profession whose purpose is to diagnose and treat mechanical disorders of the spine and musculoskeletal system with the intention of affecting the nervous system and improving health.

Today there are four main groups of chiropractors: "traditional straights", "objective straights", "mixers", and "reform".

While some chiropractors use the term vertebral subluxation to describe what they treat, others have dropped this concept and concentrate mostly on the musculoskeletal components of spinal injury and rehabilitation of the spine.

chirobase is another of Barrett's many sites. for the facts on Barrett, et al go to
http://www.canlyme.com/quackwatch.html

the definitive article at chirobase was published in 1924 in a newspaper! try http://naccam.nih.gov and follow the links to chiropractors' education and training. Methinks the National Institute of Health gives more up to date information

added
posted web page is report of court proceedings in which Barrett said he failed board examination.. Has naught to do with anyone's opinion.

Kalos, no insinuation has been made regarding Barrett's license. He is quoted from court proceedings. If he received his training before there were Board Certifications, his "data" is more than 50 years old.

Quack

ADDED:
Freetochoose is getting desperate. Barrett is very successful at exposing quacks and charlatans. Freetochoose doesn't like that, so he posts bogus character assassination webpages that have been refuted elsewhere.

*Freetosmeer insinuates Barrett is a phony because he is not Board Certified. Actually, Barrett served a full residency in Psychiatry, and most of his career was in a period when Board Certification was not required or even common.

Quackwatch and Barrett have won many awards for public service. Altmed cranks slime honorable men like Barrett because that's the only answer they have. It's a form of cowardice.
