Okay I had chlamydia but I just got medicine for it today. Should my baby be okay now? Yes, if you don't clear it up though the baby could get infected at the eyes. Don't go back to the same well you got it from. Be safe Uhm? Seriously, you should have asked the doctors this before you took it :S If they know you're pregnant and gave it to you anyway, i'm sure it's fine. not enough info. was father infected at time? what dose and type of v-pak they give you? delayed release, single dose, what? and was meds prescribed by a doctor/PA and how do you know you have clap? did you have a virology blood draw taken? Do you mean you are also currently pregnant? If so there is a potential safety issue as many of the antibiotics used to treat chlamydia, can damage babies in the uterus and are thus contraindicated. I do not know but you should ask your doctor to be safe. what you should of been giving for this isa weeks worth of antibiotics which clears up the infection, taking the pills with milk wil make it less effective or if you drink alocohol in the same week they wont work! your baby will be fine aslong as its treated otherwise your babys eyes could be effected by it.. |
