I'm positive for chlamydia? Is that possible my husband would be positive for chlamydia too?

I just have my papsmear 5 days ago and the Doctors office called me that I have chlamydia? I told my husband to get tested so we went to the clinic to get tested for chlamydia. After 2 days we found out the result he is negative. I was surprised of my result because I don't have different partner. In my whole life only my husband I have sex. Before I got pregnant I'm negative for chlamydia. I give birth last jan 2008 and then after 3 months I have papsmear then they told me that I have chlamydia. My baby doesn't have any problem. I was so confused about my result. I know my husband had different partner before we get married that was 11 yrs ago. Our first child was find. I don't give cash to my husband then I always check our account. He can spend money only his snacks. I know my husband he doesn't like go to clinic or any doctors with out me.

That's a little strange. Maybe he had it and got treated and didn't tell you about it - or maybe you are being less than truthful. Ask the Doctor.

Chlamydia is the most common of all std's. You can have it without symptoms and if it doesn't bother you, you won't even know you have it unless it reaches the point of a smelly discharge or burning. The doctor can tell if the bacteria is present with a few simple tests.
Don't look at your husband with scorne just yet. He may not have known he was a carrier. You both should be re-tested, especially you, then both treated with a anti-biotic.

I agree with Lauren. Have them treat your husband too. Because if he does have it and doesn't get treated, he'll give it back to you.

just have the doctor give him a dose of zithromax as well as yourself.
