Chlamydia 3 times.. chances of being sterile?

I have had chlamydia 3 times. First time I had it for a couple months I think... second just a week or two... third time about a month.

What are the chances of me being sterile? And how can I find out if I am sterile or not?

If you are worried about being sterile you need to visit a gynecologist... they can refer you for a procedure where you get dye inserted into the vagina which helps doctors to establish the scarring around the fallopian tubes etc. Perhaps look into getting this done?

To become sterile you usually would have to have the STI for over a good month and a half. Good luck :)

Can't really say what chances are but you can find out by going to a gyno or doctor and checking out the abdomen, fallopian tubes to see if there is scarring or how bad it is! If you are sterile it would probably be mild though..Chlamydia causes PID(Pelvic Immflamatory Disease) which causes infertility.Symptoms of PID would be abdominal pain, lower back pain, heavy or painful cramps during period..Get that checked out though.

Damn 3 times stop sleeping with the guy who gave it to you.. he has not gotten treated...Sterile is aways a possibilty but if you caught it ealry enough probably not but seriously stop sleeping with the guy who gave it to you at least till he gets treated or you will get it for a 4th time...good luck

Chlamydial infections are usually passed on during vaginal, oral or anal sexual contact with a new partner. However, chlamydia can occur in people who haven't had a new partner. This is because you may be unaware that you carry the bacteria that cause chlamydia until your partner develops signs of infection.

Infection can also be passed from mother to baby during birth, causing eye infections or pneumonia

That's a little strange. Maybe he had it and got treated and didn't tell you about it - or maybe you are being less than truthful. Ask the Doctor.
