Using a condom after treatment for chlamydia?

both me and my partner have been treated for chlamydia and have been told to wait 7 days before we have intercourse, if std's are picked up by not using a condom most of the time then why can we not use one after taking the pills a simalar question was asked a while ago but only covered the 4 pill dosage.

In the event of a condom failure, you could reinfect each other. Besides, chlamydia can cause internal inflammation, so it's best to allow the orifices (vagina, mouth or rectum) to heal before resuming sexual activity.

Chlamydia is a bacteria, even with a condom you can still spread it.

You are best to wait, 7 days. Otherwise the risk of reinfection is great.
