I have chlamydia and have had it for a long time.? |
I had an operation about 5 months ago and it was discovered that i have chlamydia. And I have had it for a while. So i have been doing research on it an from wat i can gther I have now got PID. Wat i want to know is there a cure for PID and wat is the cure rate like. I also forgot to mention that the doctor said that there is quite a bit of scar tissue from the chlamydia. Important question - have you gotten treatment for the chlamydia? I myself could never get pregnant because I had too much scar tissue from Chlymadia and I had a bad history of PID. You may be able to find a good gyno. to help you get over your problem and eventually have more kids but don't put high hopes into it. I am 43 and have suffered with PID all of my life. I don't know about a cure rate. You are still young. If you have sex with someone other than your normal partner you will get it all over again. Men can be carriers as well. If you get a new partner make them get treated too so that you dont' continually pass it on to each other. YOU CAN TRY IN VITRO http://www.ivf.com/ivffaq.html IF YOU ARE STERILE CHANCES ARE IT'LL WORK AND MOST PATIENTS END UP HAVING HAVE MULTIPLES WITH THAT PROCEDURE. Studies have shown that between 20-40% of women with untreated Chlamydia will go on to develop scarring inside the Fallopian tubes, or bands of scar tissue ("adhesions") inside the pelvis. Inflammation from the untreated infection creates this scarring. This impacts fertility by blocking the tubes so fertilization cannot occur, and by "webbing" the open end of the Fallopian tubes to impair egg "capture" at ovulation. One author (Mardah, 2004 ) posits that the "The tubal infection may become chronic in spite of antibiotic therapy." This would infer that even after treatment a percentage of women may have tubal damage. Geez Please go to the doctor and have them handle that!! If you have those dieases and dont make effort in curing them then hell no you will not be having any kids!! You cant be this clueless at age 29 c'mon now!! Just go get cured Thats how so many innocent ppl catch dieases because the infected dont get cured when they are aware there is something not right down there!! |
