Chlamydia treatment zithromax? |
my partner and i both took the single 1g dose of zithromax, and i was reading up some answers on here about it, and some people were saying that its okay to have unprotected sex with your partner, as your both being treated for the same thing and there for both have the same healing process? however some answers say that you can both reinfect each other by having sex too soon??.... Chlamydia is a bacterial infection, that's why you were prescribed an antibiotic like zithromax. While you both have the same strain of chlamydia, you don't necessarily have the same healing process. There are many variables such as how healthy you were before contracting chlamydia, your diet, and so forth. Let's say you heal faster than your partner, then you have unprotected sex with your partner who is still infected you could conceivably get reinfected. Then when your partner gets better, you'd be infected and could reinfect them. And so on and so forth. So yes, it is better to wait until the antibiotic has run its course before you have sexual contact again. Be safe and feel better. |
