Chlamydia in him?

Okay, so my (now ex) boyfriend of three years was recently diagnosed with chlamydia. He has had a rash that came and went since the time we got together but had been to several different doctors about it and they had all thought it was a type of dermatitis. So, he got diagnosed with it, took the antibiotitcs, and told me to go do the same. And this all happened the week that we broke up

I went to the doctor, got the antibiotics immediately and they sent out a urine sample to test. Well, three days later I get a call from them saying that I came back negative. He has sworn to me over and over that he never cheated on me, and I really don't see him as the cheating type, but I don't know how this is possible. I had never taken a large dose of antibiotics in the time that we were together and we had unprotected sex on multiple occasions.

He also told me all of this the weekend he was going away - do you think he may have just made it up to keep me from sleeping with someone else

Not to cast doubts on STD testing, however reality is that chlamydia is a difficult tester. It comes back with false negatives sometimes.

As said above, if he was an asymptomatic (no symptoms) carrier, it is possible that you lucked out and just didn't manage to catch it. I find that a little odd after 3 years, but it isn't the outside of possible. Oh, and chlamydia doesn't have a rash component. Whatever that was had nothing to do with chlamydia.

I would like to encourage you to not worry about finger pointing on this. Diseases aren't anyone's fault. He did the right thing by telling you as soon as he knew about it. Even if it was the week you guys broke up. (sucks, I'm sorry) I'm glad he did so and was able to be brave enough and responsible enough to make sure you got treated/tested before you ended up with a much more serious problem. Women tend to get very bad secondary infections from chlamydia that can cause permanent long-term damage.

If he was cheating, you will find out later. (You always do) There will be plenty of time for getting pissed off at him then, if that's what needs to happen. In the mean time, take care of yourself, both physically and emotionally.

Hope that helps

It's good that you got checked out and good that you were negative.
The way I see it, it's not possible for him to have had this since you were together and not passed it to you, so either way he's lying about when he got it or he's lying about having it. In either scenario, he's a complete jerk and you're better off without him.

mostly likely yes do not sleepy with him no more because if you still haveing sex and not used some condoms you can get it again and it can be worse than the first time so my answers to you is to get in a apostles church and wait on god he will send some one for you and be bless love shelia s

There is a possibility that he was an asymptomatic carrier from a previous sexual encounter. The transmission probability to you is around 50%. So you should be glad that you have not contracted it as the damage to health is more serious in women.

There are no rash symptons involved with Chlamydia, so something dosnt add up.

Some people's immune systems are stronger than others...I know a guy I was seeing got it, and I came back negative...but turns out he was sleeping with other people

Well he certainly didn't contract it from his own hand!!!!
