Is Chlamydia more common than HIV? |
I was just diagnosed with Chlamydia and tested negative for HIV. Yet it was only 3 weeks after possible exposure. I was just wondering if just because I got Chlamydia does that mean I most likely have HIV or is Chlamydia more common. I don't know any #s or percentages, but YOU can look them up so you will know on Yahoo search.....but bet that Chlamydia is far more common than HIV. They are two separate things. You can be treated and get rid of Chlamydia but once you have HIV you have it. It doesn't seem to matter which is more common to me.....I'd much rather have Chlamydia IF I had to choose. chlamydia is much more common, dont worry too much about getting hiv unless the person is at risk. you should definitely get retested in 6 months, but dont let it worry you unnecessarily |
