I had a smear that came back positive for chlamydia can i still use toys?

i had a smear a few weeks back and it came back positive for chlamydia. I took the anti biotics so it should be cleared now. I always have protected sex and only once had unprotected with my partner of four years so must have got it from him from previous relationships or something. but my question is can i still use my sex toys? my vibrator or would it have the bacteria on it?

I would just disinfect the vibrator. I see no reason to throw it away. You're treating your body for it, so just use something that you know kills bacteria and make sure that you clean it very well.

Dang girl, can't you wait awhile? Besides, you should be asking your doctor about this. Otherwise, yes, it won't infect me, so what do I care.

Terry

I would say leave the sex toys and purchase new ones as the bacteria would still be on them.
They recommend you don't have any sexual intercourse for a week whilst taking the anti biotics.

Yes, but I'd wait till after finishing treatment before using it again. Then you need to clean your toys really well with antibacterial soap and hot water. Probably should do that after every use anyway.

u can buy specially toy cleaner, which wud get rid off everything off it, or use boiled water, wen its still hot

sterilize it and NEVER share your toys !!!!
