Can chlamydia be passed during lesbian sex?

This has been bothering me. My wife, while we were separated, had a couple of encounters with another woman. However, a few years ago she became pregnant, and while they were running tests, they told her she contracted chlamydia.

I'm not sure if she used it as a fall back, but she said it was from the encounters she had with her lesbian lover, "Amy," who had an ex-boyfriend who cheated on her, and that's probably how the whole chain of events began.

My problem is the convenience of it. I'm sure its scientifically possible, but is there any probability to lesbian sex causing chlamydia to pass between people?

Yes, lesbians can transmit STD's to each other. All it takes is genitals touching.

WL

Ofcourse it more than possible. Aslong as there istouching and or exchanging of fluids there is a possibility to contract an STD. But that does not rule out the fact that she may have strayed with a man also. If she answered quickly and gave the lebian affair as the excuse I might dig a little deeper especially since the lesbian encounter was a couple years ago she most likely would have felt the effects of the Chlamydia not always but usually you feel something. I would ask more specific questions if you really want to know since it could have happened recently.

The bacteria can move from one person to another through sexual intercourse, and possibly through oral-genital contact. If someone touches bodily fluids that contain the bacteria and then touches his or her eye, a chlamydial eye infection is possible. Chlamydia also can be passed from a mother to her baby while the baby is being delivered. This can cause pneumonia and conjuntivitis, which can become very serious for the baby if it's not treated. You can't catch chlamydia from a towel, doorknob, or toilet seat. Yes.

Any sexually active person can be infected with chlamydia. The greater the number of sex partners, the greater the risk of infection. The risk that lesbians take is from oral sex and sharing of toys. So to answer your question; YES it is likely that she contracted Chlamydia from her female sex partner.

Oh yes it most definitely could. The irritation of the skin causes microscopic wounds that open up and could easily contract the infected areas of the infected person. Once inside the cell's reproductive stage, there it will stay. Thus the creams and pills that only "calm" or "treat" the disease, but never cure it. They would literally have to incinerate the DNA tissue of your cell's to cure it.

Lesbian or gay STDs are normally several times more severe than heterosexual ones. I suggest you make sure your wife has no more encounters, unless she has already given you the virus. Chlamydia to this extent is often uncurable and results in serious pain.

yes...sex is sex, hetero or gay. body fluids are still being exchanged and mixed durring any kind of sex. stds don't discriminate. when body fluids are being passed stds can be transmitted from one partner who has one to another that doens't.

.

YES OFCOURSE

you're ****** up.

yes

yes it can

I'm going to be the minority here and say that getting chlamydia through lesbian oral sex - it is rare. First, you would have to have chlamydia of the throat (not the mouth mind you), which would effect your tonsils and the throat and not the tongue and mouth. Then while performing cunnilingus the infected person would have to shove their tongue up so far to even get close to the cervix - remember, a woman's vagina is very good at fighting off bacteria.

Also, chlamydia of the throat is rare period - it's more common for you to see gonorreaha of the throat rather than chlamydia. Even the CDC doesn't test for oral chlamydia now. So there are two options:

1) Your wife had a false-positive test, which does occur in pregnant women because our bodies are out of whack. I have spoken to many women who have had positive tests and when they were tested again, it was negative. False-positive do occur.

2) Either your wife and her lesbian friend used insertive toys and didn't clean them properly or there is the possiblity that she might have been with another man.

Good Luck.
