Does Amoxicillin Treat Chlamydia?

I Got Out Of The Hospital This Morning With UTI Due To A Chlamydial Infection..The Doctor Prescribed Me Amoxicillin 500Mg Capsules 3 A Day For A Week.Will It Cure My Chlamydia

Tarra C..I Also Have An Ear Infection As Well..Left That Part Out..But If They Took My Blood And Pee They Know My Issues..Why Wouldn't They Treat It..Right?? Well I Have To Back anyways In A Week Or So Hopefully It Did Work Because I've Been Researching And Some Drug Info Articles Say That Amoxicillin Kills Bacteria And Chlamydia As Well as Ghonnorhea.

Sometimes the docs. have to work their way to the most beneficial anti-biotic since there is a problem with the adaptability of bugs in the body to the different anti-bios....
A week might be too short ,though!! Usually they go a couple of weeks!! EVen with a higher dose!!
The indicator is how you good you feel and when!! You might also feel bad for a couple of days due to die off but not necesssarily since you were treated in hospital!!
That may be the reason ,too, for this anti-bio!! Fear of something that you unknowingly contracted from your stay in hospital!!! Remember there are tons of infections floating aroun in hospitals that can be contarcted during a stay!!!

I never heard of amoxicillin curing a std that's what they gave my son for his ear infection and he's only 2 years old

I`m not really sure about that..But,U can use` tetracyclines` too...
