My STD results negative but boyfriend has Chlamydia!?

Hi, i recently tested neagative for all STD's but my boyfriend has just been tested and has Chlamydia. He swears he hasnt cheated so is it possible for either him to have had it since his last partner (3 months ago) or can you catch it without having sex? OR am i just being stupid and hes blatantly done the dirty! Only nice answers please :)

he could have had it from his last partner. It is called a silent disease as it doesn't always cause symptoms. Give him the benefit of the doubt.
At least it has been found and treated.

STD's can stay dormant undetected in someones system undetected for months, even years (scary thought I know :s.) So yeah theres a chance he caught it off a perviouse partner, this is quite uncommon though. If i were your boyfriend, if he's last partner ended on good terms id contact her (or him lol) and get her to check herself out, both for her safty and your knowlege.

If yourve been useing condoms and not much oral then theres a chance yourve just been lucky and not caught it.

Some STD's you can catch though other meens of contact; but unless hes a paramedic or someone who works with wounds or whatever this again is unlikely.

I dont know your boyfriend, but he couldve cheated. All it takes is to one drunken night down the night club meeting a girl, spending the night most innocently as friends of course then next thing you know BAM!!! You wake up naked with her bra on the lampshade and knickers in the shower.

But yeah, if you really care about him id give him the benifit of the dought. Espically as hes the one with the STD, so he cant be feeling so good right now.

He probably got it before he was with you. Sometimes it takes a while to show up. ALSO I have a friend whose husband cheated and got Chlamydia, she thought for sure she had it because they have sex on a regular basis even after he was infected. She went to the doctor and tested negative, the doc told her some people do not catch it.

u have to have sex to catch std,
cant really say coz i dont know much about it,but i think u can have it for awhile and not know so it could be posssible he caught it off an ex,
u should really try and talk to him really, ok he aint gonna admit hes cheated but then its down to u, its ur boyfriend,

if hes just been tested and hes positive, then there is a chance u could end up with it, i know u say ur test was negitive but again it takes awhile for it to be detected, i would leave it a month then get checked again, in the meantime use contraceptives, just incase ur the lucky one and escaped this std,

good luck,

It's possible that he MIGHT have had it all this time since STDs can lie dormant in your system. BUT, it's HIGHLY unlikely that he has it and you don't if you're sexually active. Its more likely for a male to transmit something to a female than vice versa. I suggest you talk to him and get some answers. And do NOT have sex with him until about a month after his treatment. Good Luck!!!!

It's pobbible to have Chlamydia for months if not years without any symptoms. He could be telling the truth.

he was cheated. dont believe him..... please believe the FACT that he did.
so for now, dont have sex with him without condom.....

No way to catch it without the DEED.
