My STD results negative but boyfriend has Chlamydia!? |
Hi, i recently tested neagative for all STD's but my boyfriend has just been tested and has Chlamydia. He swears he hasnt cheated so is it possible for either him to have had it since his last partner (3 months ago) or can you catch it without having sex? OR am i just being stupid and hes blatantly done the dirty! Only nice answers please :) he could have had it from his last partner. It is called a silent disease as it doesn't always cause symptoms. Give him the benefit of the doubt. STD's can stay dormant undetected in someones system undetected for months, even years (scary thought I know :s.) So yeah theres a chance he caught it off a perviouse partner, this is quite uncommon though. If i were your boyfriend, if he's last partner ended on good terms id contact her (or him lol) and get her to check herself out, both for her safty and your knowlege. He probably got it before he was with you. Sometimes it takes a while to show up. ALSO I have a friend whose husband cheated and got Chlamydia, she thought for sure she had it because they have sex on a regular basis even after he was infected. She went to the doctor and tested negative, the doc told her some people do not catch it. u have to have sex to catch std, It's possible that he MIGHT have had it all this time since STDs can lie dormant in your system. BUT, it's HIGHLY unlikely that he has it and you don't if you're sexually active. Its more likely for a male to transmit something to a female than vice versa. I suggest you talk to him and get some answers. And do NOT have sex with him until about a month after his treatment. Good Luck!!!! It's pobbible to have Chlamydia for months if not years without any symptoms. He could be telling the truth. he was cheated. dont believe him..... please believe the FACT that he did. No way to catch it without the DEED. |
