Chlamydia during pregnancy?

i am about 15 weeks pregnant and my doctor has informed me that i have chlamydia. My doctor is going to prescribe me some meds to take. Im very shocked and scared but my main concern is my baby. Will this harm the baby in any way if i treat it now. i dont know how long i have had this. any help would be appreciated thank you.

If you get treated, you'll be fine. It's when the infection is not detected or treated that there is a problem. Been there, my daughter is fine.

Chlamydia is a very serious disease that can cause harmful defects to your baby so you should get treated right away.No.more than likely it will help the baby more than harm it.So you should get the treatment and at least until the baby is born, use protection to prevent getting any other type of STDs that could lead to deadly results for your baby.

I would think that your doctor wouldn't prescribe you anything that would harm your baby, but to be safe and to put your mind at ease, just talk to your doctor before you take the medicine. There's absolutely nothing wrong with double-checking to ensure the safety of your baby!!

I don't think it will harm the baby now, but if you have it when you deliver it can, so if it doesn't go away by then they may do a C-section.

I had this issue also with my first pregnancy and it had no effect on the baby....she's a perfectly healthy two year old!
