What can cause spotting/bleeding inbetween periods? Chlamydia?

I am taking a new birth control, second month (diane 35)
could that be why?
I did notice a few months BEFORE the switch in pill (around july?) I was spotting a little bit, but it increased after taking the pill.
Ive also been having pains/discomfort in my abdomen, especially upper right side

I have had sex with one person before, from february-may
unprotected a few times. but he told me hes been tested for a few things and came out fine
im not sure if he was tested for chlamydia or gonnoreah, but hes only had sex with one other person than me.

Could this be chlamydia? what else can it be?

Thanks for the help!

Unregular periods such as spotting or bleeding inbetween is absolutely normal just your system becoming adjusted. Pain is a sign of maybe a cyst in your uterus. I don't think you have an STD but you should def speak to a pysician about this!

It seems more likely that your spotting is due to your birth control than anything else, especially if you started a new bcp...however, you need to go to the doctor to check out that pain, especially if it's constant...hope it helps!

It could be the pills....you should always get these kind of things checked by a doctor....don't just guess because it could be more than
one thing. It pays to be sure.
