HELP! Can you catch chlamydia orally? |
Like 3 weeks ago, i got raped so i got tested. Before i got my results, me and my boyfriend of almost 3 years had unprotected sex for the first time. He has also given me oral sex. Today I found out that I have chlamydia. I'm soo afraid that I might have given it to him. I want to know if you can get chlamydia orally and if the treatment for chlamydia treats it orally too?? ok thats a lie dont listen to the guy that said it cant be passed orally. YES it can be passed by oral sex, vaginal, or anal sex. If you are worried that you may have caught it by oral sex go see your doctor. Dont bother looking for the symptoms because the other popular name for Chlamydia is the "silent epidemic" meaning hardly anyone gets the telltale signs. atleast 75% women and 50% of men DO NOT get the signs. you could have the bacteria for awhile and not know it, as for men there hasnt been enough evidence to state that Chlamydia can cause horrible long term affects, but for women its a whole different story. if not treated at all or soon enough you can get PID pelvic inflammatory disease, which will lessen your chances of conseaving, and or increase your chances of a too soon labor causing multilple problems for your young ones. if you are pregnant or think you are, and have Chlamydia and do not get the treatment your unborn can suffer from an eye infection which can lead to blindness or pneumonia. Be careful and just go get checked because PID wont be your only problem, the bacteria can also spread to the follopian tubes hence the reason trying to have a baby in the future may be slightly difficult, and also can spread to your uterus hence the early labor. GOOD LUCK! Yes you can get chlamydia orally Nope sure can't I went to my doc a couple days ago and he said the only STD that is transmitted orally is Gohorea which is easily treatable. Everybody wants to say all STDs can be caught in every possible way but ideally gohnorea is the only one you can catch from oral sex . its more likely for the female to get it from oral sex with a man and also more likely for gonorhhea to be spread orally. unless he has any symtoms or terrible sore throat, I wouldn't worry. |
