Do I have chlamydia and if so, what happens if untreated?

I havent had sex in over a year but I do foreplay with my boyfriend. And lately I've been having weird brown discharges even though I'm not even having my period at the time.

I looked up symptoms and it said that if I feel pain while urinating I may have chlamydia, but I feel no pain whatsoever. Is this discharge a symptom of chlamydia?

Are there any more specific symptoms? I've been having this brown dsscharge for about a week and there is no smell to it either... and I'm kind of scared.

This has happened to me maybe twice before, but I thought it was just spotting before a period, if I have chlamydia what happens if I go on without treating it at all?

I cannot tell my parents at all!! They hate talking about anything sexual and don't even want to know anything about my sexual life even though I haven't had sex for over a year..

If I do have this STD is there any way I can get treated without my parents knowing??

Please helpp

People can have Chlamydia for months and not know it because it doesn't always have symptoms. You really should see your doctor if the brown discharge concerns you because it is impossible to diagnose it over the Internet. :) It doesn't sound normal to me. Untreated, chlamydia and other STD's (sexually transmitted diseases) can lead to PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) and eventually sterility (not able to have children). Since you have been sexually active, you should be having annual pap tests (a simple test done at the doctor's office that involves inserting a speculum (a device for holding the vaginal wall open) and using what amounts to a very small plastic "spatula" to get a sample of cells from you cervical area. This screens for cervical cancer. I'm not sure about getting treated without parental consent. Call the doctor's office anonymously and ask. There may also be clinics that treat and you could call one of them and ask. Good luck! FYI: HPV (Human Papilloma virus) is an STD and a risk factor for cervical cancer. Ask about the Guardasil (unsure of spelling) injection for prevention of cervical cancer. The earlier you get it the better it protects you! Also, I'm unsure how or what kind of "foreplay" you and our boyfriend are engaging in but did you know STD's can be spread through oral sex? Also, oral sex is considered being "sexually active."

yeah, it might not be chl, but it still can, and it can cause you to not be able to hav kids, so you want to get that checked. YOu could either A) lie and say you think you have an infection (which may be possible)
B) Go to your local health clinic

I don't think you can have an STD if you haven't been sexually active in over a year. You need to be seen by a physician. If you don't want your parents to know, maybe you could find a clinic. Usually you can remain anonymous there. Good luck!!

Okay let me start by saying that you have done the right thing by bringing this up here. STD's are a blight on modern society these days.
I am assuming that you are over the age of consent as you have said that you have had penetrative sex with someone?
Chlamydia if left untreated can cause Infertility so do not leave it untreated if you ever plan to have children.
Don't worry about your parents finding out as these things are usually treated in the strictest of confidence at your local clinic.
Treatment usually involves a course of strong antibiotics which you should take all of. Let me just say as well that antibiotics will not work if you are drinking as well, so stay off the gargle for the week you are taking them.
You have nothing to be ashamed of as this was not your fault but you might think carefully the next time you decide to go "All the way"..Use a Condom. You might not be so lucky the next time,
it could be HIV.
Hope this helps ;-)
Garry.
