Can I have sex w/o giving chlamydia 2 my partner?

I was told that i had chlamydia a week ago so my doctor gave me 2 pills 2 take at the same time. I took those pills on thursday april 2. Can i start back having sex?

It is supposed to be a week after you take the pills that you are clear from having it. I know i was told they dont usually do a second check as the antibiotic is highly effective.

However, if you had it your partner most likely does to, so they would need to be treated and be a week past taking the antibiotic before you should go back to having sex, or else they will just give it back to you.

Use a condom or other barrier protection for the time being. Follow up with your doctor and heed his or her suggestion. They'll probably want to repeat the test to make sure the infection has cleared.

You're lucky, this time it was curable... there are plenty that aren't. It's not fair to keep this from your partner either, they deserve to know the risks before engaging in sexual activity.

your doctor prob told you to wait 2 weeks. and then go back to double check.
your partner prob has chlamydia is you slept with him b4. i'd make him test him self. because you could get better and then get it again if he has it.

Use a condom until you get tested again to be sure it's gone, because if it isn't, you can still spread it.

Call the doctor and see what they have to say about it.

You should use a condom to be safe. If you were sleeping with your partner before then they have it too and would also need the treatment, otherwise you will catch it back from them!

Ask your doctor when it is safe to have sex again. At the very least, use a condom.

I would wait another week. It's better to be safe than sorry.
