Can chlamydia come about between two people who dont have it?

can it b caused in reults to not washing after unprotected sex, and if so how long would u not have to wash b4 u catch it

In order for you to transmit (give) or contract (get) chlamydia, one of the people must be infected with the bacteria. It's not something that spontaneously occurs simply through the act of sex. Also, the bacteria is very fragile and requires transference from one moist, warm environment (penis, vagina, mouth, rectum) directly to another warm, moist place. You can't get it from a toilet seat ot a door handle, etc. The bacteria will not survive very long when exposed to air. That's why it's a sexually transmitted disease: because it requires such close contact to transmit it. If both people are free of the free of the bacteria, they can't give it to each other. As a health educator, I must also include the standard reminder that having unprotected sex with anyone always places you at risk; not just for chlamydia, but syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, HPV and HIV. Always use a condom Source(s): I'm a health educator
