HELP? chlamydia? |
Me and my Boyfriend, both got treated for chlamydia, and I was woundering when we have sex and it's still there why would that be? Most physicians will write you a 10 day script for antibiotics. I would not have sex while you being treated. If you must, use a condom to prevent reinfection. Wait a few weeks to have sex. If you become infected again and you have remained monogamous, it is time to find a new boyfriend that is not cheating on you. it you were treated and took all the meds like your doctor said you should be fine. but if the person that gave it to one of you did not get treated and has sexwith you you can be reinfected Well, is that a hypothetical question, or is re-infection the case being stated here? Because if both of you have been treated, and assuming that both of you have been ardently following the antibiotic treatment regime, and have a negative result upon being screened for any infection, then you guys should not have it...and having intercourse is once again fun to do. IF, however, someone has been naughty and promiscuous and you or him or both of you have in any way possible contracted the same organism and thus infection, then re-infection is definitely possible...the extreme end would be that some of the chlamydia (did you guys have Chlamydia trachomatis?) organisms acquired antibiotic resistance which would then be a not-so-pleasant situation, making intercourse a not-so-fun thing to do anymore. A simple advice: wear your raincoats. |
