Chlamydiophila psittaci (formerly known as Chlamydia psittaci) is a fairly common infection of birds, especially parrots.

In humans the bacterium can cause a type of pneumonia commonly known as "bird fancier's lung"
It is found in birds, but it can be transmitted to humans and cause respiratory tract infections. Read more about it here:
