I had chlamydia and wonder if birth control or it may stop my chances from getting pregnant? |
I had chlamydia detected and was treated for it, I don't know how long I had it maybe six months. Then I got on the shot, and on my next pap, it was found again and was treated. This was in a six month period. After that I was on the shot for 2 years and on the pill for a year and did not have chlamydia detected anymore. I have been off any form of birth control for 8 months now and have not gotten pregnant. Should I let my body relax and get back to its regular form before I got on any birth control? Or should I worry and get checked to see if I'm fertile? Hi, I'm sorry people are so sarcastic and mean when you ask a question on here. First of all, no one on this website is going to be able to give you any kind of definite answer to your question. I will put links to information about chlamydia - the first from the Centers for Disease Control and the second from and Ob/Gyn-related site. I hope that after you read this information, you will be able to talk to your doctor or clinic about the questions you have. Only someone who has examined you and taken a THOROUGH medical history will be able to help you. I will try to make you feel a little bit better, just for now, but remember, I don't have your entire history. In any case, it does sound like you caught it early both times - if you hadn't, that's when it tends to spread up into your uterus and fallopian tubes and cause infection and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. It sounds like you have had regular medical care and that they would let you know if you had possibly sustained any damage to your reproductive organs. So, the fact that they haven't told you anything like that MAY be a good sign. I'm saying the last part because I don't want you to freak out, but I do want you to get your questions answered - and not on this website. Please take care of yourself and don't be afraid to ask any questions of your doctor or clinic. Source(s): http://www.cdc.gov/std/chlamydia/stdfact... http://obgyn.healthcentersonline.com/std... Hello ill give you a round of applause *clap clap clap clap clap* you stop having S_E_X!!!! you should NOT have kids with all chlamydia you have!!! keep your legs closed and work on your health! One full year solvent! Then work on Condoms with birth control until your married! I am Doctor!! NYS yes if chlamydia goes untreated it could turn into gonnorhea and if they goes untreated it could cause scarring to fallopiasn tubes resulting in infertility Sometimes after being on the pill for a long period of time causes you to not get pregnant for a good while...having chlamydia can also cause you to not have children but I think thats mostly if you had it for a long time and it was really bad. I would say if you are worried about it you should talk to your obgyn...he will know best, and it will ease your worring. Good luck! Ignore the butthole claiming to be a doctor, no doctor would say that...**** happens, grow up jerk! |
