I have Chlamydia. Partner tested Negative. I have always been faithfull. How could i get it???

HI,
Recently i tested positive for Chalmydia. As i have only been with the one person for 5 years (lost my virginity to this person also) I took him to the doctor to also get tested and get treatment - as the obvious person i would have got it from was him....however his test came back today and he is negative. Dosnt have it. HOW CAN THIS BE? I can tell u i have been faithfull, have had NO sexual contact with anyone else. AND my partner is NOT lying about the test results. Ive heard that males who are 'carriers' can still test negative. I am now treated of corse so i guess the only way to find out would be to have sex again, go and get tested again... Please Help to shed some light on this situation. Thankyou!

You were probably both infected years ago - probably you from him at the start of the relationship. Chlamydia often burns itself out in men after a year or so and they can become immune but only to that particular strain. It's likely this is what has happened, but the infection hasn't burned itself out in you. (Women don't seem to fight it off as easily as men). If I were his doctor I'd treat him, too, just in case. Very occasionally you can get false negatives, and the treatment is really simple.

As for his being unfaithful during your relationship, how could NOT having an STI be evidence of that? Source(s): http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...
You're having God's Chlamydia - just like the Virgin Mary... Have you been paying your tithes?
Apparantly some people can be just a carrier and pass it on without contracting the disease themself...
(Unfair I know!)

xx
ive heard you can get the clap from different sources, including toilet seats and whatnot. thats just one thing that stuck out from the sex ed class i had years ago. ask your doc!
This is soooo strange!!

are you sure you have seen his results on a piece of paper from the doctor and 110% sure he isnt lying...
