Does Flagyl cure chlamydia?

Does Flagyl cure chlamydia?

I'm not a doctor, but it seems like Flagyl is the wrong thing for chlamydia.

Flagyl is used for killing intestinal parasites (like giardia) and other internal infections.

Chlamydia is usually taken care of by azithromycin or doxycyclene.

But, like I said, I'm not a doctor. Source(s): http://www.cdc.gov/std/chlamydia/stdfact...
No. Only Crystal Pepsi cures chlamydia. Darn shame they took it off the market. Try eBay.
No this does not treat Chlamydia.
Flagyl, or often known in generic form as Metronidazole is often prescribed in the treatment of various infections including chlamydia usually only after certain other medications have been tried.

You can usually expect the following antibiotics to be used in treatment of most sexually communicable diseases:
Recommended

Azithromycin (Zithromax) 1 g orally in a single dose

Doxycycline (Vibramycin) 100 mg orally twice per day

Alternatives

Erythromycin base 500 mg orally four times per day

Erythromycin ethylsuccinate 800 mg orally four times per day

Ofloxacin (Floxin) 300 mg twice per day

Levofloxacin (Levaquin) 500 mg once per day
