I was treated for chlamydia about 1wk 1/2 ago and my boyfriend was treated 3wks ago.?


We had protected sex yesterday, is there a chance that I may be infected again?

Some strains of chlamydia are becoming more difficult to treat-one round of anti-biotics may not completely wipe out the bacteria. Another problem is that sometimes people miss a pill here or there and this can lead to ineffective treatment. It would be a good idea to consult your physician about getting retested to make sure you both are completely rid of the bacteria. Please talk to your doctor. One question would be: he had it three weeks ago. Treated. You had sex about two weeks ago. Could you have given it back to him as you had yet to be treated? If so, then there is always the possibility he could have then given it back to you. (less likely with a condom).
