Could I have got chlamydia (just now recently diagnosed) from my husband who cheated on me almost 2 years ago?

I just now found out I could have chlamidia. The only people I have been with was my husband who was with someone else almost 2 years ago and my x who was with someone else 3 1/2 years ago. Which one is it?????????

You'd bettter start the interrogation- chlamydia can cause no symptoms; however, usually you will get a foul odor or discharge. Some present to the doctor with pelvic or lower abdominal pain. You probably got this infection recently- and just an FYI- untreated chlamydia can cause permanant scarring to the fallopian tubes meaning increased chances for infertility and tubal pregnancies. Get ready to file for divorce

but more likely your husband who "cheated"
Do you have yearly pap smears? If you do, it would have shown up a long time ago! I think your husband isn't being totally honest with you. Sorry.
The only way to know is if one of them has or has had chlamidia. I would think the doc would immediately insist on testing your husband.
Chlamydia can exist undetected for many many years. The only way you would know for sure, would be if both men were tested and only one of them had it. If both of them have it, then it is just as possible [though not the only possibility] that you got it from your ex, and gave it to your husband. ...
Both men should be advised to go for a checkup. No sense in getting involved in the blame-game... just get yourself treated, and make sure that you insist on your husband / future partners being tested (and treated as appropriate) for stds going forward. Unless you are family-planning, you should also consider practicing safe sex going forward...
