Is it possible to get chlamydia without having any sexual contact? |
My Dr. said this is only transmitted by sexual contact. I don't see how this is possible since I haven't been sexuallly active since before I had a hysterectomy last year. I didn't have chlamydia then but I have it now. he should have told you that you can bake it in your oven. I had this as a virgin who was never touched there except by Dr.s with gloves on. Doctors lie to make you ashamed cause they think it will keep you from spreading it around. but the truth would do it just the same. VERY POSSIBLE BUT IM NOT SURE No. That's why it is a sexually transmitted disease. That's how you get it. You must have gotten it before and it's just been dormant in your system until you had the outbreak. Were you tested for it last year? You can have chlamydia for a long time without symptoms. I don't think it can be transmitted any other way but through intercourse. If you ever had sex, then that is where you would have gotten it as your doctor is right. You can not get it without sexual contact. You may not have shown symptoms...but that doesn't mean you didn't have it. No...apparently you can have it and not know it (for a while). A few years ago my ex got it, and I wanted to break up with him for cheating on me, but my Dr. said he could have had it for a while. (we hadn't been going out that long). He treated me without testing me for it, saying an anibiotic would clear it up if I had it. |
