Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection, affecting between three and four million men and women in the United States annually. Caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis, in men chlamydia can produce a discharge from the penis, pain during urination, and swelling in the testes; in women the infection may cause a yellowish vaginal discharge or vaginal bleeding. But in most cases there are no symptoms in infected women and they may unknowingly spread the disease. The infection can be successfully treated with oral antibiotics.

There are a number of infections that a women can have besides chlamydia that will cause itching and discharge. If you can smell any type of foul odor, go to the doctor!!! Yeast infections cause those symptoms as well. I believe it is vital for woman to always use SAFE sex. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! With the growing numbers of STD's it is just not worth it. Perfumes, body sprays, bath salts, bubbles, douching with to strong of ingredients, can all cause infection as well.
Ill tell you what my symptoms were, seriously..

I was with my ex maybe like 6 years ago. Anyway I always wanted sex and I was constantly wet. The discharge was so heavy that if i go sit on the toilet it used to come out in STREAMS. I thought It was wierd because it shouldnt be so much discharge but it was a LOT trust me. Anyway I had positively no OTHER symptoms none at all. Ok, so like 3-4 months later when the summer hit, i felt like there were tiny ants or soemthing in there it was so bad OMG, it was horrible. Itching, burning madness. I did not have painful urination though. And another thing, I went to the doctor, they diagnosed me with it, but they also diagnosed me with strep, so both those things had me taking those big fat pills that you have to take AFTER you eat, because if you take them on empty stomachs they will make you vomit. And I had to vomit a few times cuz of this. I had to put a cooling soap on my cooch cuz im telling you it will feel like there is some kind of itch that just needs to come out. You can have chlamydia and the diseases live in your body but does not appear you see. It depends on the host and how their body functions.

Needless to say lol, it wasnt a very good experience.
