What are ALL the ways that chlamydia is transmitted? Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the bacterium Chlamydia Trachomatis. Though it can affect men and women, in women it can severely damage reproductive organs and even cause infertility. Because it is an STD, Chlamydia is transmitted during vaginal and/or anal intercourse and/or oral. It can also be passed from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth. Any sexually active person can be infected with chlamydia. The greater the number of sex partners, the greater the risk of infection. Any symptoms like discharge or burning during urination or unusual sores or rashes need to be discussed with a doctor immediately. Source(s): http://www.cdc.gov/std/chlamydia/... Usually by the exchange of body fluids/sexual contact. Most of the ways are sexual. Oral, intercourse, and digital! You can get it on you breast if you let a guy *** on your breast. But I think that vaginal fluid or semen has come is contact with your body! |
