Can you test positive for an STD (chlamydia) less than 9 hours after having unprotected sex?? I used to assist with the collection of evidence during rape exams. We always obtained cultures for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia as soon as the victim was brought to the hospital. The results will take about 3 days for a preliminary answer and a week for a definite answer. We would treat preventatively at the time the patient was in the hospital for all STD's whether tested and results were received or not. Some of the secretions left in your vagina may also be looked at under a microscope and indicate whether or not it might be present. Source(s): Nursing college 4 years, OB-GYN RN 14 years, 30 years nursing probably not, but get yourself checked yes you can nursing if you have not cleaned yourself. |
