How do i know if my baby has chlamydia?

i just found out i have chlamydia but dont understand why? i have bein whit my partner for 4 years, and had a PAP test 1yr. ago and i was fine, pls. help

it is very hard to hear, and no disrespect. I was married and had only had sexual encounters with my husband and went to regular check-ups when, a year after we married, I went to an OB appointment and found that not only was I pregnant, but had an STD. My husband called me all sorts of names and accused me, but when he got tested, his STD was more progressed than mine, showing that he had gotten it about three months before he gave it to me. Your man most likely cheated. I say "most likely" because there are instances where a person can have a STD, and it may not show up on blood teste or you may not have any symptoms for quite awhile. take your baby in to the doctor. it is embarrassing, but better than your child suffering because of someone's raging hormones.

Have the doctor check the baby. Maybe your partner gave you the STD.
you might have gotten chlamydia from a BABY?! you're a sick, sick man.

Pap smears check for abnormal cells that can lead to cervical cancer. A check for STD's such as gonnorhea and chlamydia requires an additional swab used to complete an additional test. Or if there was a screen done last year and it was fine, maybe your partner cheated...you never know.
