Can you have sex with someone that has Chlamydia and not get it?

Can you have sex with someone that has Chlamydia and not get it?

It's possible, and more likely if you use a condom, but not certain. If I can expand beyond the scope of your original question, one of the dangers of chlymidia is that many people who have the disease don't show symptoms, and even the tests for Chlymidia are not always accurate. For that reason, in my experience in sexually active communities, people who have been with partners who have chlymidia are usually treated (with a simple antibiotic) for chlymidia even in the absence of symptoms or a positive chlymidia test.

I am not a doctor, this is what I've observed, but if you've had sex with someone known to have contracted chlymidia, I might suggest seeing a doctor. Source(s): http://www.cnn.com/health/library/ds/001...

Yes you definitely can. Even with a condom, if any of your pubic regions touches your partner, there is a good chance. Do not risk this even if you love the person, not worth your health.
yes, by using a condom, but your still taking a chance coz it's not 100% guarantee instead of having sex with this person why not take the person to the clinic and get some pills for it that way, nobody else will get infected.
It's difficult to answer your question without more information on timeframes. It is possible that if your boyfriend were treated with antibiotics for another conditon, the chlamydia could have been cured by that BEFORE he had the test done. I have read in medical journals that sometimes the body can fight off a bacterial infection without the use of antibiotics-but no one should count on being this lucky. If you have only been with him, chlamydia is a very fragile bacteria when outside of the human body-so it would be very difficult to get any other way.

Not possible. You will definitely get it if you had sex with him.
