Im 36 wks pregnant & got the injection treatment for chlamydia when will it be gone? Im scared for my baby!? |
I havent been having sex at all so its a longgggggg story how this happened but that is besides the fact.... anyways.... A week ago I took the pills that stop the chlamydia from growing, and the next day i got the injection in my butt for the treatment. I was 35 weeks pregnant. Honestly i dont think the treatment is working or that it maybe spread to my rectum or anus from wiping with toilet paper after i use the bathroom. Because now my butt is a little itchy and when i wipe it with toilet paper it has these little things that look like dirt on the paper but i wash up all the time... and also i had this watery diarrhea for some stranger reason.... Im just scared that my baby will be born and I will still have the infection. And that can cause serious problems for my baby. I did get the treatment but, what if its not working or it spread before it got fully out my system??? Someone please help!!! What should i do??? This is my first child, i just want him to be safe and healthy. tell them to do a csection so that your std isn't spread to the baby...their not going to let u have a vaginal birth if u have chlamydia. If they do then their crazy good luck with your itchy butt I would just talk to your doctor about your concerns so that way when you go in to labor, if it looks like you might still be infected, then they may have to do a c-section to prevent the infection from harming the baby. Just talk to your doctor about it. They will understand and help you in any way possible. Good luck and congratulations on the baby. Call your doctor. I'm still curious about how you got an STD without having sex??? Obviously, you need to discuss these symptoms with your doctor. I cannot explain the toilet paper finding. That needs to be evaluated. One thought, though, is perhaps you are getting anal yeast colonization from taking antibiotics. Another complication of antibiotics is C.difficile colitis. But remember ALL antibiotics cause diarrhea, and your diarrhea may just be thenormal side effect. As far as the treatment, it should prevent the disease in your baby (the disease being pneumonia and conjunctivitis). Your baby will have antibiotic ointment placed in his or her eyes after birth. All babies do. But since you are worried, I think you should ask your doctor if you can be re-tested to confirm the chlamydia has cleared. Ultimately, you need to see your doctor, particularly because you are clearly worried. |
