Is it possible for one sex partner to have chlamydia and the other not? |
Is it possible for one sex partner to have chlamydia and the other not? YES, it is possible. STIs do not transmit 100% of the time. Some are easier to transmit than others, some people's immune systems act in different ways and can make it less likely they will become infected with certain STIs. There have been people whose partners have STIs and they never get them. It doesn't mean that they wont, it just means that transmission is not 100% of the time. Source(s): HIV/STI Prevention and Outreach Educator x 5 years its ironic that you ask that I just found out that im in the same situation today my wife got it and accused me of cheating on her I didnt and even if i did it would be tough for me to give it to her sence im on the other side of the world. I supose it is possible but the question is how did the other partner get it? it is very likely but if your friend slep with someone and you did not have sex well they may have and you dont but i guesss the best thing to do is see your doctor yes it is unless a condom breaks yes, but you will infect the other person if you dont use protection or get treatment. yes chlamydia can stay in the body up till 5 yrs |
