Im worried that I might have chlamydia... what do i do? |
Well, I have had unprotected sex. Its not something im proud of, but it happens, you know. And i've been reading some signs of chlamydia and I have some of those symptoms... I want to get tested, but Im only 16, and I do not have a job. Is there any where I can go to be tested for std's thats free, and I can do without my parents? You should go talk to someone at a local Planned Parenthood or Birthright. Although they primarily offer services for people who are or think they are pregnant, they are also a women's health clinic. Someone there will tell you about options specific to where you live, like local laws, your age, and your payment options. Going in to meet with someone will allow them to get to know and help you, which will be far better than any online answer. They are open and helpful, and legally cannot tell your parents. Hope this helps! contact ur nearest planned parenthood.. ur 1st visit is usually free n ur parents arent told a thing. Go to your local health department. I don't know if it will be free for you or not, you can ask. Most health clinics will give you STD testing at no charge and if you are over 16 you may not need your parents consent. Call your local health clinic and ask. That is the first step. And for goodness sake, while you are at the clinic pick up some free condoms. LOL Hope all is well soon - |
