Chlamydia affecting a baby during birth?/? |
Ive read about the effects it can have on a baby during birth. Does that mean during the actual labor or the 9 months carrying the baby?? ask a dr. What that means if you do not take care of the problem before you have the baby it could cause the baby to be born blind. They get the affecting in there eyes has they come out. If you have chlamydia your Doctor should have done test in the beginning to see. And if you do there is medication that you take and it dose not harm the baby. It means the actual labor; the baby can pick up the chlamydia from the mother as it passes thru the birth canal. Get treated so that this doesn't happen. Babies who are exposed to chlamydia during birth have to be given antibiotic eye drops to help clear up the infection. You do not have to stop taking your prenatals; they do not interact with the antibiotic for chlamydia. Be well! |
