How to lower my cholesterol level and what meats I can eat?

what causes high cholesterol what food to limit

When i went vegetarian, my cholesterol did a nosedive, but I couldn't live that way. The more fish, chicken and turkey, and the less red meat you eat, the better off you will be. I would also stay away from white sugars as much as possible. If it's in your genes--if your body is manufacturing it--your diet can still help but not as easily. Good luck.

you can lower cholesterol by eating things like oatmeal, honey nut cheerios, almonds and fish

Fish is good because it contains Omaga 3. It's an oil that can cling to fat from others foods and helps fat pass through your system. If you can have lemons juice or squeezed lemon while you eat the fish, this will double help to lower your cholestrol. The lemon Juice is high in acidity which means it totally cleanzes your system and not to mention boost you emune system too.

Lean Meat. Grass fed beef is good,...alot of beef that are raised in feed lots/factory farms are fed with grain, which produces more fat inside the meat itself. Unfortunately most meats in groucery stores today comes from feed lots/factory farms. So if you can find a small local farmer in your area, ask him if he feeds his beef cattle grass/hay,...this means there is less fat inside the meat, making it leaner and lower in fat. If you eat hot sause or hot pepers with you beef, it will act much like lemons do, cleanzing you and give a boost to your emune system.

As for chicken, white meat is the best. The darker meat of a chicken is where most of the fat is stored. A sign of good chicken meat is when you go to a farm and see them running around in the barn yard. They get lots of excerise which means the chicken are healthy and produce leaner meat.

For Pork/Ham the more redish the meat is, means there is less fat.

Hope this helps,...

The simplest things you can do is lower your cholesterol intake (a lot of cholesterol is in red meat and dairy products), and eat Quaker Oats plain oatmeal and grapefruit (they're proven to lower cholesterol).
