I got my cholesterol level tested...?

LDL = 95, HDL = 31, Cholesterol = 146, Triglyceride = 116

Im showing the desired HDL (good cholesterol) level should be 50 or higher and mine is 31 in the high risk level (Based on this chart on http://www.menshealthtech.com/cholestero... What does that mean? Is there any way to increase it to 50 or higher?

Or do you have a better chart with information for me?

Im 37, 195lbs, non-smoker

Thanks!

Don't worry, you have a good total cholesterol and a good LDL. Raising one's HDL is very hard. It includes vigorous exercise, specific diet, and red wine helps also.

But if I had your number, I wouldn't worry about it a single minute. Besides, having high cholesterol or low HDL in your case, is in no way an indication of disease.

If you really want to know what is going on in your heart, have a heart scan. It shows if you have calcium in your coronaries and that is an excellent marker for disease.
