About My Cholesterol Levels?

I just had my first cholesterol test done, and it did not give me a breakdown of HDL/LDL/Triglycerides -- just the basic one number result.

My score was 135, which is quite a bit below the 200 range that I've read it's good to stay below. However, I don't know how that breaks down into good vs. bad cholesterol, etc.

My question is: is 135 low enough that barring freak situations, my HDL/LDL etc. will almost certainly be in good shape, or might there still be a radical imbalance with much more bad than good and I need to take a more detailed test?

I'm a middle-aged male, for context.

You need the individual numbers, even tho your total is very low. The HDL/LDL ratio could still be out of line, and you can do stuff to fix the ratio.

If you had your blood drawn in the last few days, there is a good chance the lab still has it and could do the tests without your being redrawn. Check with them or your doc.

colesterol is necesary for your organism necause it used in muscular tissue, however your organism will deposit the remaining elsewhere throughout you body, such as veins, arteries, and fat. yes you need to balance your cholesterol levels, however it wont have a major impact on you, unless you do some kind of exercise which requires cell repairs, and cell reproduction and duplication
