Does any body knows how reduce bad cholesterol w/out pills? |
Im alergits to most pills and Im not very extrict with my diet Unfortunately, although avoiding dietary sources of cholesterol may be beneficial, it isn't the whole story when it comes to high levels of "bad" cholesterol. The liver manufactures much of the cholesterol in our blood stream, so it is possible to have a poor cholesterol profile despite eating a low-cholesterol diet. In reality, high levels of bad cholesterol are likely a symptom of a much more fundamental problem and not the root problem itself. Reducing levels of bad cholesterol is nice, but reducing inflammation, the primary cause of heart disease, stroke, and many other chronic problems, is much more important. Refer to the links below for more information on how to reduce cholesterol naturally and how to reduce levels of inflammation. And I second the statement a previous poster made that exercise is important. Yes, I know...but first, I need to know what :"Im not very exercise, add fiber to your diet Some people say if you don't eat fat meat like bacon etc. it will help also not too many eggs, and if the commercials are right they say to eat oatmeal. I guess a doctor or naturpath would be the ones to ask. Baddogg Decrease the animal products in your diet. Cholesterol only comes from animal products. Examples are cheese, egg yolks (whites are OK), milk, red meat. You don't need to become a vegetarian, just cut down a little. Unfortunately, if you are not very strict with your diet and do not wish to take pills you will continue to have a problem. Check out this new supplement called chaga. It is documented as the world's strongest antioxidant. Go to the website www.mychaga.com/gfm2 click on black icon that says product movie and see it for yourself try meditation. or you can just eat a whole lot of bread - for the fibre. It depends what you mean by "pills". If you are prepared to try natural methods (which often come in pills) then niacin or Sytrinol (which comes from citrus fruit) might lower "bad" cholesterol. The only known side effect of niacin is short-term skin flushing - about 20-30 minutes - shortly after taking the dose. I hear rumors on the internet that statins are ineffective at reducing heart disease. I do believe there is a link between milk and heart disease. I recommend drinking from the rose. Countries that have milk in the diet have more heart disease. They also have weaker bones. I reduced my cholesterol into normal ranges mainly with dietary changes. |
